[Plugin: Google XML Sitemaps] Unsupported File Format

  • I’m getting the following error from Google Webmaster Tools:

    Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.

    I resubmitted and still get the error.

    Any suggestions on how I can correct this? I simply added this plug-in and followed instructions. I’ve done nothing manually.

  • I’m getting this same error. I’m not real familiar with xml, but does this look right?

    xsi:schemaLocation="https://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9 https://www.sitemaps.org/schemas/sitemap/0.9/sitemap.xsd"

    Most of Google’s examples are in the header when dealing with this error. Any chance someone has found a way to resolve this?
