[plugin] google sm gen – There was a problem while notifying Google after update

After installing the latest update of google-sitemap-generator I get this error for yahoo, google and ask

# There was a problem while notifying Google. View result
# There was a problem while notifying Bing. View result
# There was a problem while notifying Ask.com. View result

I know it’s been written about this before, but none of the other solutions work for me.

I have to say that yahoo and ask do get notified although I get the above message, but I cannot check about google as the View results link for google takes me to a 404 page of my site.

I have other blogs (although this is the only one with 2.6.5 on, all others have 2.7 and 2.7.1) and they all work properly with no error messages after the update.
