Hi, I set up the previous version of Google Plus 1 without a problem but when I upgraded to the 0.1.2 with the positioning option, it broke. I tried and tried to get it to show in my blogs and finally reinstalled the old one and it’s OK again.
I am also using “Facebook Like Button For WordPress” so maybe a clash of coding with that or perhaps with another of my plugins. The old version doesn’t seem to cause any issues.

I had a problem before with WP Super Cache plugin and deleted that in favor of W3 Total Cache but I’m not sure if these things are related.

    Hi John,

Could you be more specific about your problem? What Theme Integration settings do you have configured? I did notice a bug where buttons were being printed twice. I corrected this, but it may be causing issues with your configuration.

A caching plugin could potentially be conflicting with the new version, but problems such as these should remedy themselves when the cache is updated.

Hello Michael, yes I noticed the double button thing and thought that was just me selecting too many options re singular templates and archive templates. (I found that a bit confusing)
As you say, it seems related to caching so I installed W3 Total Cache plug-in. I have to study the W3T setup that is complicated so I’m not even sure that any caching is happening now. I may go back to WP Super Cache and try that again when I have some time, as it looks more idiot proof. I have a number of blogs using different themes and WP 3.1.3. The blog that I tried the Plus 1 version 0.1.2 on is wedding-manchester.co.uk with Picture Perfect theme. When I had the problem getting it to work I reverted to 0.1.1 and that seemed OK again and for me the new positioning option is not an issue and just above the Facebook like button is OK. It would have been useful to be able to set them in-ling but I don’t know how to code that so one plug-in to do both would be even better.

Thanks for your interest and many regards John
