[Plugin: Google maps] Markers are grayed out on embeded map?

Hello all,
Could any one explain to me why the markers on my embedded map are grayed out? They show up fine on my google maps page but they are grayed out when I embed it on my site with this plugin.

Google maps plugin
wordpress 3.0.1
Buddypress 1.2.5.2
Child Theme Early Morning 0.2
