[Plugin: Google Doc Embedder] Since 1.9.5 upgrade no pdf–instead shows website within viewer

  • Please try the 1.9.6 beta available from the link in your plugins list, as I’ve made some improvements to the enhanced viewer error checking. If you’re not comfortable doing this, you can always switch back to the standard viewer, but your testing could speed along a fix if you are willing.

    While I’m not sure quite what is going on in your case, I have found that the advanced viewer as implemented first in 1.9.5 doesn’t work correctly in certain PHP configurations. If the 1.9.6 beta doesn’t fix the issue, I would like to know.

    The 1.9.6 beta is not available in my plugins list. I used to get a message here to install beta versions before I upgraded to the 1.9.5 version. Is there somewhere else where I could find this beta version?

    Check that you haven’t disabled beta notifications under Advanced Options.

    Thanks–I found it and installed it. Unfortunately that didn’t help the problem. It still appears as my website within the GDE viewer. I guess I’ll just keep using the Google standard viewer for now.
