[Plugin: Google Doc Embedder] GDE viewer does not appear on my site

    Hello,

    I am having great trouble with this plugin, I’ve spent an hour or so on it, reading up all the GDE threads, tried all the options, but I just can’t get it to work. I am running on Mac Snow Leopard, using fatcow.com as my host.

    Nothing appears, my GDE settings are at default, I tried adding force=1, which the viewer appeared for a while, but the document(the link is legit because I can download the document) does not show. Now the viewer disappeared again despite the force=1 syntax.

    My only running plugin is Contact Form 7, I tried reinstalling GDE, but still the same program.

    Please help me if you have time! This plugin seems amazing, I just want to get it to work!

  • For the reference of others, this was a matter of entering the [gview] shortcode in the HTML tab instead of the visual editor, to avoid insertion of any random tags that might munge the shortcode behind the scenes.
