After installing Google Analytics for WordPress version 2.7 on a WordPress 2.7.1 blog, I can’t enter the UA string, because the respective link on the settings page seems to just reload the page again without letting me add my Analytics code.

I’ve replicated the problem on a clean WordPress install that doesn’t run any plugins to rule out incompatibilities. I’m sure I had this working on another blog a while back, while I was running WP 2.7.

  • Same here I am getting the same problem

I have a fresh install for wordpress 2.7.1 and installed the google analytic plug in 2.7 successfully.

There is no field for me to enter the UA String. I was able to edit the plugin scrip and enter the UA-String manually but I am not sure if this will work or not. Does anyone have a solution for this?

After updating to 2.7.1 the Plugin no longer works – my google tracking says its working – but only reports one hit for the pat 5 days each day – I have deactivated this plugin and just entered the code manually from google to see if that gets my hits tracked again. I need to know if this is offcially NOT compatible with 2.7.1.

@jschuur @wchang I don’t really understand the issue, “link”? There’s just an input field for you to add your code, right?

@movingzachb the plugin is perfectly compatible with 2.7.1, something else must have broken on your side?

Looks like I cleared out my screengrabs the other day, so I broke that link.

Earlier, the form to add your code simply didn’t appear when you clicked on the configuration link. However, I just tried it again after I reinstalled the plugin and as able to load up the settings area fine. Problem solved.

Ok good, could you resolve the topic please?
