[Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress] Google authentication broken, UA code randomly deleted.

The latest update to the plugin does not authenticate with Google.
Manually entering UA code works (sometimes).
The plugin loses the UA code randomly, i.e. one minute it’s fine, the next time I look, it’s lost the setting and is no longer tracking.
