• I’ve been using WP for a couple of years, and started using the Google Analytics WordPress plugin last years – and it’s fantastic!
Last week my new blog, which I’m using for business purposes, went online, and of course I added the analytics plugin. When I go to my Google dashboard everything looks fine, status is good and tracking should be working. But there’s something in the numbers I don’t like. For example, since the launch of the site Google tells me there’s been one (1) visitor – and I know this is incorrect due to the number of people I’ve been in contact with about the site just last week.

When I open up the site in my browser, and search for “Google” in the code – I only get a reference to my feedburner setup, but there doesn’t seem to be a analytics footer – like there is in the index of my other working site…

You can check site, and code, here: https://www.utopianmind.net/blog – I shouldn’t have to copy the analytics footer manually into the php files of the template huh? At least I didn’t do it on my other site.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated since this site is very important for me to track, more than my personal blog which has everything working… ??

    Thanks a lot!
    /Kasper

UPDATE: In the settings for the plugin I’ve changed the location of the tracking code from the footer to the hearder – and now the code show’s up on all pages, and should be feeding me correct data (can only confirm this in 24 hours…) – but how is it with having the tracker in the header – I’ve read it’s best in the footer – but will it create problems or?

    Thanks!
