Have you tried on other themes? Mine is working correctly. Well, my images aren’t very big, just 1200 x 460 but it has no problem if I open the website on 1024 x 768 screens. FYI, I’m using Good Old Gallery on flexible-width Weaver II theme, on Header Horizontal Widget Area.

I’m talking about the problem of having “high-resolution” images (3000x4000px) while editing the gallery on the WordPress “dashboard” (not talking about viewing on my website or blog).

hmm, I’ve added css that might fix this, you can try the version hosted on github to get the changes: https://github.com/linuslundahl/good-old-gallery

Thanks, I’ll try do that when I get a chance. When will you update the wordpress plugin repository – I’m used to getting updates from there.
