[Plugin: Gigs Calendar] Widget shows current date instead of date of gig

I am working on a new website for a local band: https://doctor-bombay.com/

The gigs calendar seems like a perfect plugin for bands, I even used it on my example site here: https://bands.theperimeterweb.com/

The problem is that the widget is showing the current date instead of the date of the gig. On my example page it is working fine but on the dr bombay site it shows the current date instead. Any ideas?

I know it uses the PHP date string:https://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.date.php but I don’t know enough about php to troubleshoot it.
