We’re hosting our site on Pagely and routinely Pagely disabled the WP Session Manager plugin. We believe this is when Pagely updates WP and plugins. Have you had other reports of this issue and if so, is there a resolution?

  • My guess is it’s being disabled as it can hit the wp_options table pretty hard and/or cause some serious bloat.

I’d suggest you ask Page.ly why they are disabling it.

Or, fix your site to not rely on sessions ??

Versions above 2.0 use a custom database table to avoid overloading options. Versions above 3.0 use native sessions so you can leverage the standard PHP session cookie. The latest versions should play nicely with Pagely and other hosts.

Thanks Eric. Upgrading the plugin to the latest version appears to have fixed the issue.
