[Plugin: Get the Image] thumbnail save doesn't work

I’m pretty happy with this plugin. There is just one showstopper > I can’t get 'thumbnail_id_save' => 'true' to really save an image as a featured image – assuming that this is the supposed behaviour.

Any ideas on this?
