Thanks Dylan I’ve read through all of the docs and I’m starting to make sense of it all (I am a relative newbie.)

I’ve implemented the code you said but it has brought a slight problem:

The Global Map I have is on my front page, and whenever I load up the site (when Geo Mashup Custom plugin is active) it automatically redirects the page to the latest tagged post on the map, without giving any chance to do anything on the page.

Do you have any idea why this might be?

Uncheck “Automatic Selection” in the global map options.

Is it possible to only show markers for the posts that have received comments?

That could be done, I think, but it would require some careful coding using geo mashup’s query filters.

I can’t even think of an easy way to get WordPress to query only posts with comments.

I guess for now I will just have to add the posts to the map manually when I receive comments.
