• I just wasted my time uninstalling a post teaser plugin I could have worked with, because I thought your solution would be easier and faster to use. I noticed the name “Genesis” in the plugin name, so I looked through your install notes and FAQ to see if Genesis framework was needed. Nothing said, so I assumed I did not need it (I don’t have genesis). So now, I have to uninstall and go back to the old post teaser I was using and reconfigure everything. Thanks a lot.

    Your install notes and FAQ:
Upload the entire genesis-post-teasers folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
Navigate to the Genesis > Theme Settings menu
    Configure Options for ‘Homepage Teasers’

What happens when I select Use Plugin CSS?

This plug in adds additional markup to style the post teasers. Selecting ‘Child Theme CSS’ will not load any the CSS provided in the plugin and requires you to add your own to your child theme’s style.css. By default The post teasers will be displayed in pairs side by side.
The plug in seems to have done nothing for my site

This Plugin will not work with widgetized homepages. If your homepage is widgetized try selecting “Archive” or “Blog Template”.

Hi cbulen, I apologize for what had happened. I actually do state that the Genesis Theme Framework is required in the description of the plugin, but will be adding this to the FAQ section as well now. Thank you for letting me know about your confusion with the plugin so I may save time for possible others.

Sorry if I missed that. I was very tired when I was looking for a post teaser. I apologize for my tone. I was very tired/frusterated at that point, and just needed to vent.

I tried multiple post teaser plugins, but could not find what I wanted. I just wanted to be able to post a thumbnail image from the post (just grabbing the first image in the post) as a thumbnail on the home page where the teaser post text appears on my blog. Like pat flynn does on his site: https://www.smartpassiveincome.com/

however, I could not find anything. I have to assume its the theme that does it, so I ended up modifying my current theme (which is a real PITA especially if I need to upgrade my theme to a newer version). Not to mention, I still haven’t figured out how to get the text to wrap the thumbnail on the home page teasers.

It boggles my mind that there isn’t a plugin like this, that works with the existing teaser functionality built into WP. Ideally, a plugin like this would allow the site owner to move the image to the left, or right, top or bottom, etc.
