• I’ve installed this on WPMU 2.8.4 and it seems to work OK, except that for logged in users, when clicking on a star or thumb icon, the spinning icon does not stop. I have to refresh the page to see that my action has been recorded.

This problem does not occur for users who are not logged in.

In general, is this plugin known to work well with WPMU when activated site-wide?

    Thank you.

  • As far as I know experiences from other users are mixed. While most things should work fine, plugin still doesn’t have full WPMU support, and I just don’t have enough time to work on that.

Your example points to an error, and if you are able to find that error in PHP log files, please report it and I will try to solve it. Right now I will fix WPMU related bugs as they are reported. You can use official issue tracker:

OK, thanks. We’ll have a look at it and let you know.

Nothing is showing in the logs for this particular bug, even with LogLevel debug switched on.

I am testing it on two different WPMU installs. One uses sub-directories and another uses sub-domains.

On the sub-domain install, the votes are accepted but on page refresh, there is no evidence of a vote having been made and I appear to be able to vote again. However, the stats in the Dashboard only record the first vote.

When I vote on comments on a sub-domain WPMU blog, I also get the following error in the logs:

[error] [client x.x.x.x] WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ” at line 1 for query select * from wp_12_gdsr_data_article WHERE post_id = made by GDStarRating->vote_comment, GDSRDatabase->get_post_data, referer: https://test.jiscpress.org/2009/07/28/3-jisc-vision-mission-and-objectives/

    I am using:

    mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.75, for debian-linux-gnu (i486) using readline 5.2

    PHP 5.2.6-3ubuntu4.1 with Suhosin-Patch 0.9.6.2 (cli) (built: Apr 23 2009 14:35:05)

On the sub-directory install, I get the spinning icon which does not stop until a page refresh. I do not experience this on a sub-domain install. I am using:

    mysql Ver 14.12 Distrib 5.0.51a, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64) using readline 5.2
