[Plugin: GD Star Rating] wp_gdsr_rating_article out of loop()

I’m trying to integrate the GD Star Ratings into my BuddyPress install. I know I have to use wp_gdsr_render_article(), but the BuddyPress Feed is not using the WordPress loop(), which is where the wp_gdsr_render_article() function gets the $post variable from.

Is there a way I can pass the BuddyPress post_id to wp_gdsr_render_article so that it will correctly save my star ratings?
