I just update my wp, and then update the Gallery and received the following error:

Catchable fatal error: Object of class WP_Error could not be converted to string in /home/european/public_html/wp-content/themes/eveningshade/functions/breadcrumbs.php on line 44

Seems there is a compatibility issue.

    Thanks for your help.

  • Need help please,
I updated the “gallery” plugin: plugin update failed and the galleries are not displaying anymore. The plugin is gone from the active plugin list in the dashboard and all my attempts to locate it or reinstall it have failed, it seems the plugin is still installed but not to be found and not working. I did receive a broken link message yesterday that referred to a WP codex link(?!).
Your help would be much appreciated, Tanx, Andrew

I received the following from support:

please go to the page of the permalinks settings in the admin pane, change to the default and save; then change those ones that were before and save, and check the page. If there is still the error, please write about this and provide access to the admin panel of your website, and on Monday we will examine this problem.

    Best Regards,
    Tatyana

    – i did all that, site works fine, the galleries are still missing(not displaying),
another user has suggested there may be a conflict between a google map widget and the plugin. As it happens I’m using a google map plugin ( wp google map), is it possible there is a conflict? I’m totally puzzled by this issue, I have never had a plugin disappear from the list. I suppose next step is cpanel/database.

I finally bagged this gallery plug in, as I was spending too much time trying to de-bug it. I frankly think there is a conflict between the plug in update and the wp update. I found another free plug in that works much better: NextGen Gallery

Tanx bstone81, I’ll try your suggested plugin. Let you know.
    Regards,
    Andrew
