• Hi!
I really love your plugin, it is simply awesome and functional!
However I was just wandering whether it is possible to hack a little part of it or not. In my photoblog I use a single image as a featured image for each post and my theme collects all these images in the home page.
If I open these images I can see them in a lightbox gallery, but I would really like to open them with your carousel gallery.
I can code in php but I am not really keen on coding WordPress plugin…
Is there any walk around to make this plugin open my pics or do I need a hack?
I’m looking forward to having a reply from anyone more experienced than me.

    Thank you,
    Ale152

If I understand correctly, you want the users to click on the features thumbnail on the homepage and automatically dive into the gallery associated with that image.

It is going to be a bit hackish, but as you see that the carousel can be launched with a url like this:

    https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-add-gallery-carousel-in-wordpress-without-jetpack/#jp-carousel-7912

That number in the URL is actually the attachment ID. You would have to get the attachment ID of the thumbnail or another image in the specific gallery. Then you can use the url like the one above.

This is a really useful thing, but I don’t know if it can solve my problem…
I don’t have a “gallery” as indented by WordPress, but just a lot of posts with featured image.
I collect all these featured images with a loop in the home page, and I would like to open them with the carousel.

Is it possible to do that? Can I open a list of featured images with the carousel?
It would be also great if comments showed in the carousel refer to the post of which image is featured to.

    Thank you!

I don’t know if I explained my problem well, but I would like to use the carousel like a lightbox.

Unfortunately, that is not possible out of the box.
