Jetpack Carousel wasn’t working for me, so I deactivated Jetpack altogether and am now trying your plugin. It’s not working either. Here’s my page: https://wp.auburn.edu/biggio/pff/2011-2012-pff-cohort/

When you click on the pictures, it just opens a single picture and not in the style that’s advertised. I was having the exact same problem with Jetpack, except with their plugin, I couldn’t even select “display full size images in a carousel.” I can at least now choose that, but it doesn’t seem to be having any effect whatsoever.

I’m using the Avenger theme from Theme Weaver and am also using Chrome and Windows.

I’ve been trying for HOURS to find a gallery that will display as a carousel with lightbox for my organization’s website and I’m having no luck. PLEASE HELP ME!

Carousel won’t work with all themes, especially if the theme is doing something special with galleries.

You’ll have to modify your theme to use the built-in WordPress gallery functionality.

The theme was created to adhere to all wordpress guidelines and features, so the theme is not the problem. I’ve already communicated with the theme creator and he confirmed this.

The theme *is* the problem. Any theme that uses customized galleries of any sort will cause Carousel to automatically deactivate.

It’s not a matter of “adhering to guidelines”, it’s a matter of some themes use specialized/custom gallery code. When they do, Carousel will intentionally turn itself off, because it can’t predict what the resulting gallery code will look like, even if it’s remarkably similar to the default WP galleries.

I took a look at your site. Carousel is not-activating on it. This is either because you turned it off, or because it self-disabled when it detected an alternate gallery implementation.

If you want to have the theme author contact me and send me some of the theme code, then I’ll be more than happy to tell him how to make it Carousel compatible.

    My email is [email protected].

I have all carousel plugins deactivated on my site right now. I’m in contact with the theme author about this. I’ll forward his email to you if he think it’ll be helpful. Thanks for your quick feedback about this.
