[Plugin: Frontpage-Slideshow] Using the posts Excerpt instead of title

  • Is it possible to use the Excerpt from the post instead of it’s title. I have the title in the buttons, and would prefer the title at the bottom is the excerpt. Can it be done?

    everyone has the posts excerpts working? I must put comments for having some text…

    During my tests it was working… do you have lastest version ? do you have double set the option (by putting it to “don’t use” then “use” again) ?

    It actually not create an excerpt if none is given… if this is what you are talking about… anyway : 55 words (that is the excerpt default length) is very big and may be not appropriate for a slide comment…

    I’m using the 0.9.9.3.3 version. With my latest posts I mean I must put a comment for having some text in the slider, there is no automatic excerpt appearing.

    BUT I have checked that if I put a manual excerpt, it appears… so my wordpress doesn’t make automatically the 55 words excerpts? Maybe do I have to activate it somewhere?

    of course, WP is creating excerpts on the fly, but to do the same outside of a classic post display, we got to use a special way to do so, I did not (yet) added this “special way” into the plugin.
