• Hi Jeff,
    I went through the forums, but could not find the proper answer for my problem. I have put the slideshow in my website at https://www.coolmags.net/gadgets. The plugin is working wonderfully well in the chrome browser and mozilla. However there seems to be problem in all versions of IE. The images seems to be not loading. Please offer a fix for it.

  • Thanks again …

    First — re: “auto post” … sorry for the misuse of my language — I meant using the config set-up to place the slideshow on the home page without using the short code…. which as I’ve mentioned, I’ve tried and it too failed.

    I’ve also tried what you’ve suggested … turning off all of the show buttons including the right column of text ….

    Still no go in IE …

    My theme has a “rotate image” — in the header — capability, which I don’t use. I’ve gone through the set-up interface for the theme — trying what I think are the correct set-ups to disable this feature….

    The weirdest part is that it works perfectly with all other browsers ….

    I guess I’m hosed with this and need to find something else …. I can tell ya, I just need a nice tool to slide pictures with links in/out on my home page to promote specific program titles ….. and with the new wave I want to avoid Flash. This plug-in would have been perfect.

    Hmmmm …. thanks again…..

    Trust me, I know how frustrating this plug-in can be. It drove me nuts for about 3 hours.

    If you are interested in having me look deeper into, contact me through my site and we can see what we can work out. We can see if we can’t work out some mutually agreeable fee for me to look into your problems.

    Also, if you haven’t check with the developer and include your plug-ins ID code. I still haven’t heard back from him on my problem, but I was also able to fix it.

    Best of luck,
    Michael

    Anyone, I’m having issues with this plugin showing up correctly on IE. I know this is a common problem, but it seems that not everyone has the exact same issue. First, the entire page is floating to the left in IE, whereas centered on all other browsers. Then the entire image holder is blank except for where the caption goes, but in that area, the top of the image is displaying. And there is no caption. Please help, this needs to be resolved by the end of this week!

    thanks in advance!

    John

    John:

    Are you using IE 8 or newer? I found it had compatibility issues with IE 7. Also, are you sure the page floating is tied to the plugin? Try to isolate all problems to make sure. Also, make sure the settings in the CONFIGURATION panel are set correctly (i.e., for display in pages as opposed to in the code of header.php or wherever), try getting the slideshow to display elsewhere on your site (if you have it on your front page, try on your about page, or equivalent) and make sure no other plug-ins or javascript are messing with it. Past those thoughts, pray;)

    Hi –
    I gave up.

    With Michael’s (omgraphics) help I found that the plug-in worked on some PCs but not on mine. All with IE 8. No matter what I did I couldn’t make it work on my newest version of IE 8. No problems with Opera, Safari, FF or Chrome…

    I found an alternative plug-in that provides a similar although not identical look and feel. Also SEO friendly. Check it out: smooth_slider

    See my implementation at:www.longtailnet.com

    If anyone has any ideas how I can get the title text to be left justified — let me know. With simple HTML I was able to get the descriptions left justified.

    Good luck …

    @michael,
    Thanks for getting back so quickly.

    I’m viewing it in IE8 for my client. Unfortunately I’m sure most of his clients are IE users in the law field. It appears as if floating left is just automatic when I started using the plugin. Now, if I disable the plugin to see what happens will I lose all my settings?

    @davidk
    I’ll give it a whirl if the other slider doesn’t work. Per my clients request, the Front page slider does everything he wants it to do including making updates to the captions without bugging me.
