• I have two users setup with the Editor role.

They can use Front End Editor to make changes to posts, custom fields and pages, but when they double click on an item that is a widget, they cannot edit contents.

It does open up the WYSIWYG editor, but the edit section goes blank and all the editing options are grayed out.

Is there a problem with Editor roles being able to utilize FEE on widgets?

I am using the latest version of FEE and WP 2.9.2.

    Thanks.

  • They need to have the ‘edit_themes’ capability.

You can manage capabilities with the Role Manager plugin, for example.

Ah, thanks. Hadn’t introduced myself to much of the roles and capabilities documentation yet.

Ideally, you should have a dedicated ‘edit_text_widgets’ capability.
