• Hi there,

Just wondering if you have any update as to when we might be expecting this plugin to update to the latest version of Aloha (0.20.0) which is at RC7.

This is a fantastic plugin, but its got a massive achillies heel right now which is the fact that it needs to use such an old version of jQuery. This makes alot of wP 3.3 features not work, means you cannot use jQuery Mobile, UI and a host of other things. I also think looking here that having to use jQ 1.4 for this plugin is the cause of alot of the problems here.

I absolutely love this plugin and know my customers will too, but right now I cant even get started integrating it because having to use the old version of jQuery makes everything else I am doing not work.

I’d love to help you out with beta testing if you have a beta version?

I know upgrading to Aloha 0.20 is absolutely necessary, but it will take some amount of work, work which is neither fun (since I have to re-learn the Aloha API), nor beneficial (since I don’t use FEE with Aloha enabled on any project right now).

Therefore, I don’t have an ETA.

Ahh, thats a shame, I was hoping you maybe had something ‘in the works’…

I totally understand the work involved though. Heres hoping you can bring on the Aloha 0.20 revolution as painlessly as possible ??

I wish I could help more, I would consider my self, fairly capable in the realms of JS programming etc, but that API documentation just makes no sense to me whatsoever- I just cannot even see where to begin. Tiny MCE documentation is very clear and easy to follow, but theirs is totally impenetrable, for me any way.
If you can give me any tips as to how to get started, I’d be happy to try and help you out where I can with this…

Good news: The development version (2.2-alpha4) contains Aloha 0.20.0-RC9.

Feel free to try it out.

Known issues: The image button is broken.
