Plugin forces use of the “Classic” block by default in Gutenberg

When creating a new block, by typing new text into the Gutenberg content editor, the “Classic” paragraph block is being created by default. This behavior removes the user’s ability to create a Gutenberg paragraph block or even change the “Classic” paragraph to a Gutenberg paragraph block.
The expected behavior would allow a user to select the “Classic” paragraph block from the Gutenberg editor when desired, without first forcing the “Classic” paragraph block and removing the users ability to change the “Classic” paragraph block into a Gutenberg paragraph block.
Deactivating the plugin resolves this issue.

You can either add “standard” paragraph blocks from the (+) menu or uncheck the “Hybrid mode” checkbox in the settings: https://ps.w.org/tinymce-advanced/assets/screenshot-7.png?rev=2011513.

That’s not the case. A Classic paragraph can always be “converted” to blocks by using the “Convert to blocks” menu item: https://ps.w.org/tinymce-advanced/assets/screenshot-2.png?rev=2011513. What kind of block(s) is/are created would depend on the content.
