Plugin for displaying categories as thumbnails?

I would like a page that posts a grid of posts for each category, exactly like this website does:

I am currently using the “list category posts” plugin by I can’t seem to get it to do what I want. Here is a page where i am testing out the code:

I’m not too good at code, so please be specific. Any thoughts?
