• I’d like my users to be able to fill out and edit a profile. The fields will consist of things like name, address, drop down for state, etc. Users should be able to update their own information and the profiles should only be visible to a few user roles.

Do any plugins for this exist? It seems like most of the user registration / profile forms don’t allow you to customize the form or go back and edit it.

  • Hi there,

I did a quick search, and it does look like there are plugins that can help you with what you want to accomplish.

One popular plugin that allows you to create custom form fields is Member Press. Here’s some information I found that may be helpful:

    https://docs.memberpress.com/article/175-membership-registration-pages

Another plugin that seems like it would generate the type of form and functionality you are looking for is Ultimate Member. It will allow you to create user profiles with custom fields and edit user roles on your site. Here’s some info on Ultimate Member:

    https://ultimatemember.com/

Those are just two plugins I found, but I am sure more exist. You may want to do some searching and find which one works best for you. I found those by searching “custom form fields membership plugin” in Google.

Hope that helps! Best of luck!

Thanks Tara. I sent MemberPress an email and they said they can’t do everything I’d like it to do. I’ve been playing around with Ultimate Member for about a week now but I’m not sure it does quite what I’m looking for. I’ll keep playing around with it to see if I can get it to work. If not, I may user NinjaForms and program some customization.
