    False positive:

That’s definitely a false positive from Avast, which is notorious for obvious false positives affecting Google, DigiCert, etc. over the years.

I reported the false positive to Avast and you can as well here:

I use AVG Antivirus and on all 40 sites I manage that contain your plugin, the URL CardStealer warning comes up on all of them… I just finished deactivating the plugin on all the sites… please report the issue to AVG Antivirus… also I would hope whatever is triggering the false positive be changed and a plugin update be sent out.

AVG fixed this same brief issue just 18 days ago so we’re definitely escalating with them.

There’s no need for a plugin update since AVG’s issue impacts AddToAny’s hosted file. We expect AVG to have it fixed sooner than later this week, but in the meantime you can probably avoid the issue by enabling the plugin’s local caching option:

Settings > AddToAny > Advanced Options > “Cache AddToAny locally with daily cache updates” — please report back if that works for you.

Update: AVG/Avast have fixed the issue.

They suggest updating their software’s database on your device if it has not been updated already:

Glad to hear AVG/Avast have fixed the issue… but what about the other antivirus software providers who might be flagging this false positive? have you reached out to any of them?
