• Is there a detail documentation on this 2 functions that I’m missing? What do they do and how can I correctly use them? I’ve created a group and a filter, then what? I believe they are for controlling posts and pages under a filter group or filter.

If you have 2 category of posts and you want to set different plugin filters and apply on the 2 category respectively. What will be the proper settings like and how to use the groups and filters? Assuming both categories have about a thousand posts in totality.

Filter Groups are just for grouping your plugin filters into categories to make them easier to manage. Plugin filters apply settings to whatever URL you put in the permalink field.

If your permalink structure includes the category name then you can use a plugin filter. If your category names were category1 and category2 You could create 2 filters with the permalinks https://www.yoursite.com/category1/ and https://www.yoursite.com/category2/. Then check the also affect children checkbox and enable fuzzy url matching on the plugin organizer settings page.
