Plugin file does not exist

Hello,

Recently I got a 500 error that made my website down, and cannot log into the WordPress CMS. My host support identified the issue was because Hootkit plugin, after they helped my disabling it the site ran again.
When I login and check the Plugins page I see this message:
“The plugin hootkit/hootkit.php has been deactivated due to an error: Plugin file does not exist.”
