  • I have this problem too.
It seams there are a lot of people like us who want to migrate from joomla to wordpres, but there is no complete plugin to cover all options we needed.
I am ready to pay for such plugin if this would help the developers to build a strong and complete plugin.

It looks like the first ~7400 posts have the correct date also no tags are imported.

I’ll have a look at this problem soon.

If you want to build a complete plugin to migrate from Joomla to WordPress, the forum is here, so everyone can propose new features.

Athalas, miladk, I can’t reproduce your problem. Can you send me an export of your database ? Not all the database but only some records whose date is not migrating.

I can give you access to my test site where I’ve done the migration, the first ~7400 posts all imported with the correct date – every post thereafter has the current date. What is your e-mail address?

I’ve added a admin user for you to the site, please let me know if you didn’t receive the notification with details. I’ve run the import over 10 times with the same end result. The DB details are configured on the import page if you would like to rerun.

Thanks, I have well received your notification, but I need an export of your Joomla database to test the migration on my localhost.

I have checked your Joomla database. The date problem comes from the Joomla posts which have an empty publication date (publish_up field). Do you know why?
I can do a thing: it will be to get the creation date if the publication date is empty.

Thanks for checking, I’m not sure why it would be empty, on the current Joomla sites the dates are displaying correctly on the posts. If there is anything you could do to get the date imported it would be much appreciated.

I have updated the plugin to get the creation date if the publish date is empty. It also manages the categories with spaces in their alias.
Athalas, I have tested the release 1.2.1 on your database and it imported well the 17151 posts.
