But the plugin doesn’t import anything. It is because your Joomla version is 1.0. My plugin is only compatible with Joomla 1.5.

what actually mean “You must give access to the WordPress host on your Joomla database”?
I’m running into the same problem and the username, DB and password are correct (taken from Joomla config file)

both Joomla and WordPress are on the same server and account.

So it should work. Please double check the DB host, database, username and password.

In fact I was on a different host. Once I’ve moved on the same host everything went fine.
