[Plugin: FeedWordPress] Attempts To Upgrade Fail

  • Not only does this latest upgrade fail to activate, attempts to inform the author of this news also fail repeatedly. I apologize for getting angry but after many unsuccessful attempts I ended up trying to leave the following message. Which also failed. (Talk about publishing junk and not wanting to hear about it.) (And he uses a captcha? How unprofessional and insensitive to the needs of the visually impaired is that?!)

    My attempts to automatically upgrade or activate the last version of this plugin (which was working fine) fail repeatedly with this so-unhelpful message: “Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

    I’m using WordPress 2.9.2 with the wonderful Atahualpa theme (and no, I’m not changing themes).

  • My guess (as I’ve never used this plugin) is that the latest version contains a serious bug. Better for it to fail to update than to bring your whole site down.
