[Plugin: Featured Articles Lite] Slider not sliding

    Featured Articles Lite is on my homepage (did not use auto placement; put it in code) and the slider will not slide in between posts. It used to work, but now you can only view the first post in the slider and there are others.

    I already disabled and deleted non-active plugins, but nothing changed. I have tried installing and re-installing the plugin, as well as re-making and deleting the individual slider, but still nothing has worked.

    Thanks for your time! Please suggest any ideas you may have. I really need to get this working. ??

    I’ve seen that others have had this problem as well, and I did check my footer.php, and there is a footer tag right before the </body>.

    So it appears the problem is elsewhere…

    The problem is not in your footer. The plugin passes the parameters to the script as JSON string but for some reason, your website says that parseJSON (available since jQuery 1.4.1), your WP install uses v 1.7.1 so everything should be in place.
    Can’t say what could be happening, need to investigate this a bit more. Will get back to you.

    By the way, you said “it used to work”. What changed since then? You updated WP, updated the plugin, switched themes?

    OK, tried a few things and the problem happens because of a file you’re loading into your header area called jquery.slider.js ( location is your_theme_dir/js/jquery.slider.js ). I don’t know what this file does but once it gets removed, everything works just fine. Somehow it’s interfering with default jQuery functions and causes the error on your website.

    You might want to contact the author of that script and report the issue, as I already said, this is not a problem related to Featured Articles.

    I figured it wasn’t a Featured Articles problem, since it was working fine not to long ago..
