plugin feature idea ‘no articles found’ notification

I have a few sites that use spreadplugin. I also manage approximately 100 other WordPress sites, which means there’s a lot to check every day.
For some reason, whether it’s server backups, plugins being updated, who knows, every now and then I take a look at one of my sites and it says ‘no articles found’.
I simply login manually, rebuild the cache and all is fixed.
BUT the question is: how long has the site been like this? I sell very few items and have quite a few sites, so I don’t always notice very quickly.
So, the idea is, if the page shows ‘no articles found’ then could we receive an email alert so we can sort the issue manually?
what do you think?
is this a good idea?
