[Plugin: FB Open Graph Actions] Page Load Speed awful

    It should be noted that I’ve simply had to remove this plugin, despite owning the Premium version.
    Why?
    During the period I’ve been toiling to make it work correctly, I notice Google Analytics reports that my site’s page load speed has skyrocketed from an average of 10 or so seconds up to a massive 50+ seconds. That simply can’t be tolerated in this day and age.

    Plugin needs some serious Optimisation work to be of effective benefit. Kind silly to foster Facebook activity when the site loads deplorably slow. No one is likely to stick around.

    What can be done about this?

    Hi Martin,

    Sorry to hear you’ve been having these loading issues. The overhaul of the plugin took longer than anticipated. The loading problems should now be all but fixed. I’ve emailed you the latest premium version.

    The free version loading times should also now be significantly faster.

    Oh, that new version is way way better. Good load times now and the widget appears to load in an Ajax fashion so no impact on loading so that’s real nice.
