    Hi,

I have been using Fast Secure Contact Form a a long time with my main website here: https://www.ragingtrifle.com/contact-me/ – never had any problems.

I am planning to roll it out to another website I am developing (with the same web-hosting company), but when I test the form, the test emails never arrive. The only difference is that unlike my main website above, the domain name of this new website is set up to use Google Apps, and all email accounts associated with this domain use Google Apps Gmail.

The form works fine to any other email address I put into the form, including email addresses from different domains, so I am at a loss as to why it won’t work with Gmail for Google Apps.

I have worked through all of the troubleshooting guide for emails not arriving, but nothing has worked. The only option left is the Gmail option, but I’d rather not have to use this approach.

Has anyone else experienced this? Am I missing something really obvious?

    :-/

Maybe someone else who uses GoogleApps can help.

I’ve discovered the solution and thought I should post it here in case others encounter it: turning off the mail service on the domain solved the problem.

WordPress didn’t know my email was no longer hosted locally, and kept trying to deliver it locally using the domain email service.

I turned off the mail service on the domain (using Google Apps for email I no longer needed it) and the emails started dropping into my Google Apps account.

Thanks, John, for posting your solution! I am having this same issue of FS Contact Form not delivering mail to my Google Apps email that I have set up under my domain.

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the mail service in BlueHost cPanel?

Glad to help – I hope it solves the problem for you. ??

Hi. If you are having this problem you don’t need to turn off the mail service – you just need to change the email routing setting so that it knows that Google is handling your email. See this article for a more thorough explanation:

…on the other hand – you might decide it’s advantageous to turn off the mail service to save resource on your server – since Google is handling your email anyway.
