[Plugin: Fast and Secure Contact Form] Focus on contact form after validation error

  • Hi,

    I’m trying to use a form on a page where the form is not visible until the visitor scrolls down towards the bottom of the page. If they enter the details correctly, then all is well, however if they miss a required field then the page refreshes and they are presented with the top of the page again and therefore can’t see the form to know they’ve made an error.

    Is it possible to have it redirect to a bookmark on the page in order that the form is visible following a submission error?

    I got it working. I added HTML anchor tags to bring focus to the form when used on a page with lots of content before the form.

    This will be in the next version. If you want it now, you can download the trunk version and replace the files manually.

    To update – I’ve now installed your trunk version and it’s working wonderfully now! I’m very impressed by the fact that you’ve allowed for multiple forms on one page – it focuses on the correct one!

    One thing, I de-activated, deleted and then ftp’d the new version across and then activated it. Now, although the old forms were still available (I have default number set to 5), they weren’t showing up in the admin panel – presumably it’s drawn from the temp files in wp-content?

    Not a major thing, as they were pretty easy to rebuild for me, but is there a config file that I removed by doing it this way – normally when I do an automatic update through wordpress all the details are still available.
