[Plugin: Faceted Search Widget] Errors, blank screen when activating plugins and themes

    When I first Network Activate the Faceted Search Widget plugin, I get the yellow admin screen warning message:

    The plugin generated 1 characters of unexpected output during activation. If you notice “headers already sent” messages, problems with syndication feeds or other issues, try deactivating or removing this plugin.

    While this plugin is activated, I get a blank screen of death whenever I activate any other plugin or theme from the Network Admin area. Activating plugins (or reloading the blank screen also generates the following error in my PHP error log:

    [13-Jul-2011 14:06:31] PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wordpress/public/wp-content/plugins/faceted-search-widget/faceted-search-widget.php:81) in /wordpress/public/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 934

    Removing the plugin restores the environment back to normal.

  • Sorry for the trouble. There was some extra whitespace at the buttom of the plugin file which was causing the unexpected output. Should be fixed in the latest version — Thanks for the feedback!
