Posting to the timeline is failing and the error message says: article is invalid because it specifies multiple ‘og:url’ values.

It then lists two urls that are exactly the same post url.

Thanks for any help resolving this. BTW I have been successful in the past. Not sure if it started with the latest update.

I did deactivate, delete and upload the plugin and I also resubmitted the Open Graph.

  • Chris, are you using WordPress SEO (Yoast) plugin? It has an social option and once I unchecked Facebook from it it works.

I don’t have the Yoast plugin but your suggestion got me looking at other plugins. I found that Sexy Bookmarks has an Open Graph option so I turned that off. Maybe that will solve the problem.

I wish I could find a solution to the weird excerpts that appear when the FB plugin does post to the timeline.

Try adding the excerpt manually. For example, go to the top menu (I think it is screen options) and check Excerpt. Then you will get a box at bottom to enter the excerpt. Before publishing fill it and publish.

Mine doesn’t work, so actually can’t test it for you.

I did try the manual Excerpt but that didn’t work. Maybe the plugin developer will allow that in the next update.

Yah, the plugin is very young, but I am disappointed, Facebook should use more horsepower to develop this section. Had I had time I will add those features.

@zjunaideen, why are you disappointed? What specifically can we work on? We’re open to feedback and actively working on it. Thanks

@chriscobb, can you add more details? What do you expect to happen and what’s actually happening? Thanks

Whenever I manually add a link to Facebook, I get the image and the first few words of the post.

When the App posts to Facebook, I get various excerpts like:

    <p>Try out this….

    <a class=”ninja_pages_read_more” href=”http//….

    or sometimes I get this:

I love this at Rolling T Stores: MSM Turf Herbicide
    [add_to_cart item=

On both of the pages I have used the manual WordPress excerpt. Couldn’t the app pick up the snippet from this excerpt?
