• When someone “Likes” a post, what shows up in their feed is “[Name] likes [website url]:[category]” in that person’s News Feed on Facebook.

Is there a way to tailor the message that appears on Facebook.

I would like it to say, “[Name] likes [post title] on [website url]”

  • Currently, this is not possible but we have received this question before and will be investigating it more closely soon. We can’t promise that it is possible due to the nature of the Open Graph protocol and how Facebook is treating the meta data but we see the utility and would like to make it possible.

can anyone provide an example website with this Facebook Like for Tags plugin installed?

I’d like to Like it and see how everything behaves.

    Thx.

There are thousands of sites using this plugin but quickest and easiest could be to try our blog at https://www.ingboo.com/blog

You can configure the look-and-feel as you like. In this example, we have ads turned, show faces off, etc.

We post new updates on the blog about once a week. Next time we do, you would see that update in your news feed (not on your wall/profile page).
    Hope this helps.

Thanks for the example link Rikard. The Facebook icon button on the right column doesn’t seem to work. When clicked, it displays a pop-up with this message “Oops! Unable to process your last request. Please Go Back and try again”
