[Plugin: Facebook] How to get Social Publisher to pull correct description?

  • When publishing to a Facebook fan page from the social publisher feature in the Facebook plugin for WordPress, it appears to post on something that starts with <p>"a few characters" followed by ... then "a few characters" repeated again with some more of the message

    For example, this post to WordPress resulted in the following on our facebook page:

    How do I get WordPress to send the correct title/description for each post to Facebook when publishing via Social Publisher? Correct title/description is one that does not include HTML code or repeat the same content.
    So what I’d want in the above example is:

    Presidential Search
Lafayette College recently announced that the Presidential Search is requesting input from the Lafayette community via this survey about what to consider in the search for the College's next President. Send your input to the Search Committee today! In addition, the College is hosting regional forums...
