    Hello,

I couldn’t get this plugin to work. I added the ID of my Facebook page but I didn’t know where to find the Facebook App ID, secret and token (was I supposed to create a Facebook app? The instructions of the plugin do not mention such a thing. Actually, there is no insctructions at all, and no FAQ). So I clicked the “Get facebook access token” button. It leads me to an error Facebook page: “An error has occured, please try again”. Great.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    I’ll update the installation section.
You need to create a facebook app.
the only thing you actually need to fill there is the app name
    and your website url.
After you create it you get app id and secret.
You don’t need the token unless its a private fan page which users
can’t access unless they are added to the fan page.

    Allright, it works fine, now.
Actually I have to say it is very easy to get it to work once you know the Facebook app step ??
One more thing: this is not obvious that the token is not required as long as there is no field marked with “*” in the widget settings panel…

    Thanks for your quick answer!

    Bummer.
I’m at the setup stage, and was relived to find that I actually did not have to find an access token, and went through the steps you described. I see my App ID and Secret, but when I try to Save the App I’m creating, I get this error:
    “Error
You have specified an App Domains but have not specified a Site URL or a Mobile Web URL
https://www.brittanycgooden.com must be derived from your Site URL or your Mobile Web URL.”

    Don’t know where to go?

    Thanks in advance!

in add domains make sure you added brittanycgooden.com
if it doesn’t help try to add https://www.brittanycgooden.com

    That’s what I did.

Here’s the error I got when I tried again:

    “Error
You have specified an App Domains but have not specified a Site URL or a Mobile Web URL
brittanycgooden.com must be derived from your Site URL or your Mobile Web URL.”

Am I missing a step? Would screenshots help?

I tried it with the https://www., as well. No luck! Do I need to do something else before I “Save” it?

make sure in app domain you don’t add “https://” just the domain
also try with and without the www.

    Yep, I’ve tried all variends (name.com, https://www.name.com, https://www.name.com)

Here’s some screenshots, hope they shed light on whatever the issue may be. Thanks for all the help.

you can write me to my email specified in my profile.
you are missing entering the website url of where you’re using the api.
Website with Facebook Login should be marked.
click on it and add the url of your blog.
