• Hello, is there an option to redirect the user after login or registration to a designated page?

If not, would you consider this option in the future?

    Thanks,
    Ovidiu

    Hi,

No, there’s no such option. The idea was to have the plugin as simple as possible. The user will be redirected to the same page that he’s in.

Can i ask what particularly are you thinking of?

I’m running a classified ads site and I need to drive the users from homepage to the page where they suppose to fill the ad right after registration.

And redirect them to their profile page upon login in case they already have an account (it usually means they submitted ads in the past)

This scenario should be handy in many other cases.
    What do you think?

I would suggest to put login button to “Add new ad” page.
So when user is in “Add new add” and is not logged in you display
“Hi, you need to login or register before adding an ad. You can also use your facebook account: [LOGIN]”

I i will add “after_successfull_identification” hook in the future version so you can use that hook and do whatever you like. How does that sound?

The current situation is like this:
When the user clicks on “Post new Ad” button, first I check if he is logged in. If he’s not, I redirect them to a page where I present them 2 forms to either “login” or “register”
    – if he already has an account and logs in, the user is redirected to the personal account.
    – if he doesn’t have an account and he fills the registration form, he is being redirected upon succesful registration to the Post new ad form page.

If I put the facebook button in the login/register form page, the user logs in just fine with facebook but it remains on that same page with the login/registration forms which is very confusing for the users.

So its only usable for me somehow if the button is on the homepage.

This plugin looks promising, you did a great job.
I’ll wait for the next versions to see how it goes.

    Take care,
    Ovidiu
