It’s funny, I honestly can say that I spent 10 hours messing around with Simple Facebook Connect and after Otto being unhelpful and rude and trying all the options he suggested to no avail I gave up. Then I didn’t use the plug-in and watched it slowly degrade to uselessness on my website until I removed it and went in search for something new.

I spent hours searching, finding, installing, then uninstalling plugins for comments on wordpress because they were all just annoying- too many options, too many chances for error… and errors they all had… EXCEPT this one!

The best plug-ins for WordPress are the plug-ins that are straight forward and simple. The less moving parts, the less there is to break. All I had to do with this plug-in was pop in my Facebook code and bingo! I’m back in business!

    THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

  • Hi Pleer,

Like many others who have used different fb comment plugins, I am glad that yours is pretty simple to understand. I have howver (on my site) an error saying “warning: http [my domain] is unreachable”…

I tried to follow the instructions from this link: https://support.kajabi.com/entries/20178432-facebook-comments-warning-http-web-address-here-is-unreachable

    but it wasn’t working.

As it stands, comments show up on the site as well as on fb but I would like to get rid of the ugly “Warning: https://mydomain is unreachable.”

Your plugin seems like it can be really helpful. I’d appreciate your help. With thanks,

    -Bre

I had the same problem. Fixed it my removing or adding a trailing “/” on the facebook app settings.

This is a nice plugin among those I tested, but now I’m directly modifying my theme files to include the fb comment box.

What would be ftw is if there is a way for non-facebook users to comment along-side. It used to be possible before facebook did removed that feature.

Having an issue currently where the plugin seems to be working fine and the comments are being populated both on my site and on Facebook by posting from both locations.

However, I can not see them in the Moderation Tool area which makes it extremely hard for me to keep up with the comments that are being posted on my site.

Anyone else seeing this issue? Any ideas how I can fix it? Thankkks!

    Hi Alex,
my problem is that the Facebook comments are posting on my wall instead of my fan page. Please guide me on what to do.

    Regards
    Mehul

Hi, just started using your plugin and am a little confused.Maybe I am doing something wrong or missed something:

    1. None of my images in post appear as a thumbnail in the Facebook post on my Facebook page.
    2. Do I need to make a comment first so it shows up on my FB page?
    3. Is there anyway to share the link to the blog post with FB groups?

I’ll leave it at this for now.

    Thanks
    Matt
