I’ve just updated to v1.4 through WP updates, and I am now having some difficulties!

On the settings screen, I get a ‘login with Facebook button’, but clicking it does nothing (I’ve tried in both Safari and Chrome). As a result of this I cannot now use the publishing features.

The ‘connect with facebook’ button on the login screen does not do anything either.

The ‘like’ button, comments box, and like box sidebar widget do not appear on any pages or posts.

I have gone through the settings to make sure the features are turned on as they were prior to the update (having to do this was frustrating, having taken a lot of time to set the plugin up once!).

I have created a very simple opengraph object, which I have set for all types of page.

When running a number of pages and posts through the Facebook Developer debugger, the only return which is unexpected was the og:image, which seems to return my app icon rather than an image from the post.

I have tried my opengraph object with %IMAGE% in the image URL box, and with a blank entry, and with Auto load image attachments set to both yes and no, but the debugger still returns my app icon rather than an image from the page or post.

Any advice greatly received! (or a link for the last version 1.3.x.x…)

I deleted the previous install, and have installed the version available here. I am not getting any further using Safari.

Using Chrome and Firefox I get the Facebook login screen as a new page in the same window if I click the sidebar widget login button, or the Facebook Connect button on the login page. I get nothing if I click login on the admin page.

Filling in my Facebook login details does not seem to log me in to the site, although using Firefox I did get a ‘new device’ notification email from Facebook.

Things seem to be showing up now and functioning SOMETIMES as long as you hit the refresh button. However, I now have a bunch of junk at the bottom of my pages relating to the Facebook AWD app. It’s like 3 pages of code. Go to my blog and scroll to the bottom to see what I mean.

@italynstylion 1; read settings, 2 a little search, 2 you activate the mode Debug. Turn it OFF.

The plugin is not directly linked with content of Facebook frames, login form, notification, checkpoint pages are NOT COMMING FROM THE PLUGIN.

However the role of the plugin is to open thoses page when the user ask for it.
The previous errors with the login was fixed and was due to a Javascript error.
I tested up the last version (GitHub version) on Safari Chrome, and firefox, and all works great.

One last thing is that you shoudl verify some points:
_ check that firefox, safari and chrome are NOT in private mode.
_ check that cookie are allowed.
_ check that any addblock system are not blocking facebook requests.
_ Each time you make change on login settings, Clear all cookie, close your browser and restart fresh tests.

I have checked browser settings, cleared all browsing data (in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox) and installed 1.4.2 from GitHub this morning.

Clicking the Facebook login button on both the login screen and the admin screen still do not open the Facebook login screen on my site.

I still do not see the like button on my post pages.

I still do not see the comments box on my post pages.

I still do not see the like box in my sidebar.

It’s a real shame as in the past this was the only Facebook plugin I found to work as I wanted it to, but since 1.4 I have not been able to get functionality.

I have reinstalled Simple Facebook Connect in place of AWD, and while there are some things I do not like about the way it works, at least I can get Facebook integrated on my site with it.

I will keep checking back as this plugin develops and should I find it works for me again in the future I am sure I will come back to it.

Thank you for all your support in the past.

You do not have any url to test the plugin that will help me to see what’s wrong with your site ? install the plugin on a fresh wordpress install and you will see that it’s work.
