[Plugin: Events Manager] Spaces available for groups of events

    Awesome plugin ??

    I need to be able to limit the number of spaces people can book for events running in an entire week, not just for one individual event.

    For example, there are 20 individual events during the week. There are 100 spaces for the whole week. If someone books 10 spaces for Monday’s event and someone else books 85 spaces on Tuesday’s event, that leaves me with 5 spaces for the rest of the week. If someone books 5 spaces for Thursday, that switches off availability for the rest of the week’s events.

    Is this possible? If so, how?

  • this might not be possible atm, however you can set this on each individual event at Bookings/Registration > ticket min/max or total spaces

    The individual event total spaces feature is cool and I’m already using it. I was hoping there would be a way to apply that feature for a group of events.

    I’ve figured out a workaround (not technical, more conceptual) if anyone’s interested or has a better suggestion!

    • Create 1 event for the whole week – ‘This week’s event’
    • List each individual event in the description
    • Get people to choose the event they want to attend by typing it in the comments field of the booking form. (Maybe I can add a drop-down – is this possible in the free plugin?)
    • Rely on the email notifications to manage bookings rather than the bookings dashboard.

    A bit clunky maybe, but it enables me to use the total spaces feature and therefore automatically prevent people from booking once the total has been reached.
