  • Hi,

Does the upgrade went successful? or try clicking the reset on EM; Another solution is to just change dbem_version back to 4.9 which you can do in /wp-admin/options.php

    NOTE:
BE SURE TO BACKUP EVERYTHING FIRST BEFORE UPGRADING ANY PLUGINS OR EVEN THEMES

@marcus you did indeed. I have tried following the instructions as per your post without success I’m afraid.

Initially editing the dbem_version to 4.9 didn’t seem to stick on saving, so I tried disabling the plugin before editing the options page which did the trick (ie after saving the textbox showed 4.9)

Both times the only indication of an upgrade of any sort going on was the notification about migrating v4 images.

Is there anywhere else I may need to change the version number to trigger an update?

Thanks in advance for your help and for your hard work on this great plugin!

If a few events were transferred successfully then the above solution probably isn’t relevant to you. Can you check your error logs to see if there were any SQL errors?

I have a problem with recurring events. The calendar correctly link to all events, recurring events too. The problem is when I list with short code in a page, for example [events_list limit=10 pagination=1 category=”52,95,51,53,267″] I see all events, the link to single events for normal events ok, but I have error 404 for the link of recurring events…Why? Maybe is no correct the permalink of each recurring events…

In the widget calendar all the link of all events are ok…

    Attend reply urgently..

    Thanks

what’s the link to a recurring event and a single event? A recurrence is the same as a single event, you shouldn’t be able to see the actual recurring event template.

..the structure of the permalink is the same of events.. but if I click on the permalink of recurring events I have error 404. The link of events is ok. The structure of permalink events is: /events/title-of-post, the structure of pemalink recurring events is /events/title-of-post-date. Where I able to see the actual recurring events template?

just to confirm, you are clicking the link from within the list generated by the shortcode?

If you’re trying to view the post from the links in the admin area, a 404 is normal (this is in fact a wp bug because recurring events aren’t meant to be published publically, so the option to view it shouldn’t be there).

Yes, from page where I inser short code, but from the page link of widget calendar too (when there are most events in 1 day). If the calendar have one events in one day and the events is re recurring, the page of events recurring is ok, but the structure of permalink is /date-events.

Which option in wp for to change private recurring events in publish? And how to change the permalink of widget calendar and to link always to page to list events and not directly events,If 1 events too? In this thing of recurring events,I have 2 url is the same but the content page equal…Is very dangerous for SEO…thanks

Private events are like private posts, just change the visibility.

We’ll be changing the links for events with single days and make it an option.

    @marcus

My upgrade failed the first time after my server crashed mid-reactivation. I ended up with no events and the fixes you’ve listed here and elsewhere have not remedied the situation. I’m also not getting any pages created, and when I go to the events page, my calendar shows an event on every day.

I’ve gone back to the 4.x version of the plugin and while it shows the events, I’m not able to update them anymore.

How do I force an update? Is there a script I can run manually to move everything over to the new model?

Naturally, I was able to run the update perfectly in TEST, but my PROD site is the one with the failures…

    Thanks

firstly, try updating to the dev version, and secondly try setting dbem_upgrade_throttle to 0 by visiting yoursite.com/wp-admin/options.php

that should ensure EM tries to install again.
