[Plugin: Events Manager] shortcodes not working to pull up locations

  • before the upgrade to version 5, I had pages that drew up lists of locations with shortcode.
    i.e. [locations_list limit=15 category=18 ]

    Now this no longer works, and the issue appears to be the category code. If I remove that, I can get a list of all of the locations.

    Upon looking at the category lists, I can no longer even find the category ID numbers anymore. I’m not sure why I can’t refine the results by category any longer.

    I’ve been looking through the documentation for the last day, but I can’t figure out how to fix this. Any help would be appreciated!

    it’s detailed in the documentation somewhere. You have to change the category numbers. Go into your event categories, choose one of the specific categories, then look at the URL. You’ll see a tag id (i.e. tag_ID=504)
    that ID number becomes the new category number.
    so for my situation, I changed it from
    [locations_list limit=15 category=18 ] to
    [locations_list limit=15 category=504 ]
