[Plugin: Events Manager] listing events of a particular category

    Sorry for the obvious question, I must be making a mistake.

    Most of my events have a physical location but some are online. I created a category named ‘online’ and assigned it to these events.

    To display them I wrote
    [events_list category="online"]

    And the list displayed is ALL of my events. Am I doing something wrong here or is there another explanation?

  • it should be the category id.

    thanks for the help! is there an easy way to find IDs? I just hovered over the category name links but that seems a little roundabout.

    you can see it at Events > Event Categories look for the column ID (if not visible, click Screen options and check) or use placeholder #_CATEGORYID to output the category id at formats/layouts settings
